Optional Discussion Topic: Dialogue

Dialogue can be deceptively difficult. How often have we seen a movie or read a book where the characters sounded more like expositional machines than real people? Or children spoke like adults?

How do you do with dialogue? Does it come easy to you? How do you ensure that it sounds natural instead of awkward?
