I enjoyed the first season of Elite. A Spanish soap which mixed murder mysteries with class commentary and queer romance. Subsequent seasons grew repetitive. The new students seemed pale copies of the old. The writers relied heavily on the Idiot ball. The few “nice” characters continued to trust the sadistic villains despite all warnings. (This show gave up on reforming its villains long ago.)

The final season plays the greatest hits. Another death. Another competition. A new mean girl and chaos twink. More male nudity. But the thrill is gone. I gave up on the dour late seasons. This time I stuck around to watch the students of Las Encinas stagger towards the finish line.
