Ok, normally I post links. That’s my thing. Three links. But today, I feel like doing things differently. Today, I’d like us all to reflect a little more on what we share. Because things are going to get DICEY. The discourse is going to get rough. It’s going to be racist, misogynistic, just down right awful. It already is. We are already sharing these takes. And I get it. They make me mad too. It’s like smelling bad milk and asking someone else to smell it. “Isn’t it awful, here, smell it!”

I do not want to smell it.

I do not want to stifle discourse on what people are saying though. It is important to keep up with what mud the GOP flings. It is important to know where the attacks are coming from.

But it is also important to maintain ourselves and not to fly off in a festival of rage.

We will be carefully monitoring “bad takes from nobodies,” so please keep that in mind.

I’m asking for balance, I suppose. A knife’s edge we are constantly walking. I’m asking you to take a beat before sharing something that pissed you off, just because it pissed you off. Y’all’ve done a great with this recent news of keeping things between the lines. We are all on the same team here, and it shows. So keep up the good work! Understand that what you share here affects everyone, and while we need to vent, we also try and maintain a general spirit of positivity. Continue to make Mayor McSquirrel proud, and don’t threaten him or anyone else.
