Hey, all; Looser And Cooler Friday –

Have to make this quick, sadly. I’ve got family coming in and the weather in my area has finally cooled down to something less than “Hell’s Cabana;” so I’m getting a bunch of errands done that were eschewed in-favor of keeping at least of thimble’s worth of moisture in my body for the last few weeks.

Sad as it might sound, this is yet another positive I can glean from being underemployed. If I had been taking my old commute in these past few weeks, you wouldn’t be reading this, because my desiccated corpse would have been discovered on a subway track or overcrowded bus, by now. In fact, considering that we haven’t done one in a while, why don’t we make that our sub-topic, this week? No, not the desiccated corpse bit, the part about beating the heat getting to, from, or while at work. Hopefully, the majority of your responses will involve a copious abundance of air conditioning; but if not, well…::gestures around:: And of course, you’re free to rant about any other annoyances that have been eating at you that don’t involve our slowly-roasting planet.
