Welcome to the 30 Day Challenge for July, where we’ll be looking at the STEM fields: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. I originally conceived of the as the Science & Math Challenge so those two categories will get more attention, but we will touch on all of them.
Today we want to talk about what sci-fi gets right, that is examples of good science and math in science fiction. What are your best examples of sci-fi works where the creators went to the effort to make the science accurate? Think about all media: movies, TV, books, comics, whatever.
If you want to start sharpening your knives for bad science in sci-fi feel free, but save those answers for tomorrow.
