Welcome to the 30 Day Challenge for July, where we’ll be looking at the STEM fields: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. I originally conceived of the as the Science & Math Challenge so those two categories will get more attention, but we will touch on all of them.
Today we want to ask your thoughts about NASA and other space programs. While space exploration got its start in a fit of ugly nationalism and has never entirely transcended those origins, many people take pride in humanities efforts to reach for the stars. Are you one of them? What do you think are the most significant accomplishments of the world’s space programs? What are you skeptical about? What do you think our goals should be for the near and far future of space exploration?
Bonus: Wasn’t it great when Buzz Aldrin punched that guy in the face?
