Hi all, Cordy here filling in for Dave. Wanting to keep the spirit of WPT alive, I chose a bird to spotlight today: The lovely Himalayan monal.

This beautiful guy lives up in the Himalayas and is found primarily in Bhutan and Nepal, but can also be seen in Afghanistan and Pakistan as well! They use their beaks to help them dig for food (up to 10 inches underground!), and roost communally in the winter to help withstand the cold.
