So I’ve started a different job and am no longer working from home. It’s a more active job so at least it feels good to be moving around but now I don’t have unlimited access to my own kitchen. I’ve been packing food for my day. One- I like the food we have at home so I know what I’m getting and know I’m going to like it, two- I don’t end up spending money on a meal that I may not even enjoy, and three- I can eat while I’m working or take a short meal break and leave earlier than if I went out for lunch.
Some of those things I find travel well are fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, cheese chunks and crackers (I use a cooler, not a paper bag), sandwiches, any leftovers I can eat cold, a slice or two of a quickbread like banana or zucchini.
What’s your work outside (or inside) the home lunch routine?
