30 day Star Trek/Wars challenge day 22: The Creatives – Directors, showrunners, writers and more

Welcome to the 30 day challenge of May, which sees a return to two of the most iconic things in pop culture, to say nothing of Science Fiction, namely Star Trek and Star Wars. Throughout this month some prompts will be general and apply to both franchises, while others will be Trek/Wars specific, as indicated.

Though originating with George Lucas and Gene Roddenberry the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises have subsequently been shaped by countless people over the years, from authors to writers, showrunners, composers and more.

So to you, who are your favorite – and least favorite – people to have informed Star Wars and Trek content? What are your feelings on Lucas and Roddenberry? And who have ultimately been most instrumental in shaping either franchise?

PLEASE NOTE: ACTOR MVPS WILL GET THEIR OWN PROMPTS FOR BOTH FRANCHISES

Bonus prompt: Remember the Crafts! Any editors, DPs, visual effects artists etc. you want to shout out?

Extra Bonus prompt: What creative deserved more of a shot at the helm than what they got?

Kelvin Legends prompt: What untapped creatives would be good fits for new Trek/Wars material? And who would be the absolute worst?

Legends of Kelvin Prompt: Any Wars/Trek creatives that would be a good match for the other franchise?
