Only 8 bands are left standing, but there can be only one winner! Who will it be?
It could very well be the Soggy Bottom Boys, who once again earned the highest number of votes, skyrocketing all the way to 52! The folk trio steamrolled over their competition, out-earning the Max Rebo Band by 37 points for this round’s biggest margin of victory. Or it could be Josie and the Pussycats, who narrowly defeated Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes by only 2 points in the closest contest, with a score of 29-27. The Mos Eisley cantina fixture was the band with the most votes to be eliminated this round, coincidentally earning the same number of votes as the lowest scoring winner, Girls5Eva. Originally seeded #29, Girls5Eva also becomes the lowest seed remaining in the bracket–it could be that they’re the ones to go all the way! One thing we can say for certain is that it won’t be either Otis Day and the Knights or Conner4Real, who tied for the lowest scores in Round 3 with only 10 votes each. Give it up one more time for Otis and Conner!
So, 8 bands left and some tough choices to make, I think. Let’s find out who’s going home this time!
