Werewolf 226: Mario Kart – Day 3

Despite all the death and carnage, the race must go on. And go on it did, now at Yoshi Desert.

David Byrne looked ahead, muttering, “Miles and miles of endless highway…” All this racing, all these roads. He looked around the sandy track and became frustrated. Why, these are all just roads to nowhere!

As the race started, David Byrne remembered all the things that were different. He fell in love with a beautiful highway. Now it was nothing but flowers.

Suddenly, a shell came out of nowhere, throwing David Byrne off the track, his car exploding. But as he lay there, dying, astute observers noticed that gradually his face would change its shape. An elongated nose. Wider, thinner lips. Beady eyes. A larger forehead…

A….a wolf!

Narrowstrife (David Byrne) has died. They were Donkey King Jr. a saboteur (Wolf).

  • Role Description: Once during Night 2 or 3 they may place a banana peel in front of a target player. The next day, that player will receive an extra vote against them, which will be noted but not explained. 

A red panda waddled onto the dusty track. They were nervous but alert. This was no ordinary mammal. This seemingly harmless racer was a deadly combination of cute fluffiness, cunning skill, and deadly independence. For this red panda murdered players every single night, slowly but surely attempting to wittle down both racers and saboteurs.

Stars dodged and weaved throughout traffic, but it felt like the finish line never got closer. They were so focused on that finish line that they couldn’t see a banana peel appear before them until it was too late. Stars spun out of control…

Stars (They Come and Go) has died. They were King Boo, a serial killer (Independent).

  • Role Description: Must target a player each night. If they survive to the end of the game (1) A solo win occurs if they are the last player standing (2) A joint SK-Racers win occurs if both the saboteurs and Luigi die, (3) A joint SK-Saboteurs win occurs if Luigi is dead and saboteurs outnumber the racers

  • Win condition: All Scum (Saboteurs + Serial Killer if applicable) are eliminated

The Saboteurs (Wolves) – 2 players

  • Win condition: The number of surviving non-Saboteurs is less than or equal to the number of surviving Saboteurs

  • Serial Killer(s) and/or Independent(s)
Drafting Process

1) The list of roles are included below. Role descriptions will only be provided publicly after that player’s death.
2) Each player sent the mods a ranked list of at least their top five preferred role names through Discord.
3) After all lists were received, the mods looked at all the first choice roles. If any player chose a unique role (a role not selected by anyone else) as their first choice, they were assigned that role.
4) If two or more players selected the same role as their first choice, that role was assigned to one of those players at random.
5) If any players had not received a role after the first round, the mods turned to those players’ second choices. This process repeats until the lists have been exhausted.
6) If any players had not received a role after all of the lists were taken into account, they were randomly assigned one of the remaining unclaimed roles. Everyone gets a role!
7) Faction alignments were decided after all roles were assigned.

  • Order of Night Actions: Redirecting > Blocking > Jailing > Tracking > Investigating > Killing > Healing > All Other Actions
