“Rat Me Out” is a song by Lady Lychee, a singer/songwriter from Philadelphia (based in NYC) who is described as “bridging her jazz background with her love for pop and punk to create music that is both unapologetically raw and entirely self-produced”. Taken from her full-length debut Rockstar Cosplay, which was released in October 2023 and absolutely blew my mind the first time I heard it after clicking on a YouTube recommendation a few months back. I have had this album (and Lychee’s other music) in heavy rotation ever since, and I am HOOKED! If there is a future of music, I’d like to live in a world where this is it. This is the best thing since sliced bread – or at least Wet Leg. Give it a listen and get in on this now before it blows up and becomes the next big thing, so you can be cool and say you were listening to Lady Lychee before she became super popular!
