(We will not set clearly delineated boundaries on who qualifies as a ‘person of color.’ As a starting point, this thread uses the definition of ‘non-European heritage of sufficient prominence to affect one’s navigation of a society built on white normativity.’ However, we recognize that there are identities which skirt either side of the divide. If people feel that they meaningfully experience the identity of being a person of color, then they are welcome to participate.)

For those who observe, today Ramadan (the month of fasting for charity) has come to an end, culminating in the Islamic festival of Eid al-Fitr!

Speaking of, I saw Monkey Man over the weekend & it goes HARD!

It sounds like it was an incredibly difficult production: apparently Dev Patel broke his hand during the filming of this scene (not that you can tell in the film)! Not to mention the thematic allusions and actual visuals of anti-muslim bias in Indian politics leading to Netflix dropping the film 😒! Thank goodness for Jordan Peele.
