Three generations of Ghostbusters battle an ice demon. The trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire featured a wave of ice hitting New York City. It looked like a promising way to open a movie. Unfortunately, it’s not till the third act. The screenwriters have a whopping fourteen characters to introduce before the plot can begin. The Afterlife family channeling The Fantastic Four / Incredibles. The legacy stars as wasted as the cast of Jurassic World Dominion. A bunch of new comedians who aren’t allowed to be funny. And the ghost of Ramona Flowers.

I say keep the villain, keep the Hays Code lesbians, give the legacy characters one good scene, cut almost everybody else, and you’d have a decent action film.
