In a tournament full of one-sided battles, we got our first real nailbiter last round. Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Terminator spent almost the whole day neck-and-neck – until I opened by computer this morning, I had no idea who the winner was going to be. Exciting stuff!

In the end, the T-800 managed to terminate Indiana Jones by the narrowest of margins (40 to 38). Significantly less close was Die Hard vs. Aliens, where the John McClane thriller devastated the space/horror/action hybrid (a whopping 51 to 28). Not the dignified sendoff for Aliens I was expecting.

With that, there’s nothing left but the final matchup. One last round to determine which is the best 80’s action movie: Die Hard or The Terminator?
