This week, it’s webbin’ timer as we see the debut of Madame Web. The movie drops tomorrow, which I’m sure you all know is Valentine’s Day… henceforth to be known as “Madame Webruary.”
Now, all things considered, this is a pretty weird time for the MCU’s shameful cinematic universe cousin to be releasing a film that could charitably be called a superhero movie. Is it because the leads are women?
But then again… who the heck even goes on movies on Valentine’s Day? Or any holiday? I’m assuming most of the time we stay at home with loved ones, not to watch some lesser known Spider-Women duke it out with a guy in an evil Spider-Man suit. We don’t even get the day off on Wednesday. Are we really going to watch a movie and stumble into work, all tired? And if they ask if it was because you got frisky on Valentine’s Day, you’re going to say, “No… I was up late watching Madame Web.”
Why do you do this to yourself?!?!?

Today’s bonus prompt: have you ever gone to the movie theaters on the day of a big holiday?
