Going to do something a little different this week. Going to profile a wrestler most of you probably don’t know about. His name was Eddy Steinblock. He was a German wrestler who was champion of European Professional Wrestling. In fact he was champion for thirteen straight years. He also ran EPW. EPW was around for 13 years too. Yes, he booked himself to be champion for the entirety of his promotion’s lifespan. He went over numerous much better wrestlers in matches, beating Terry Funk, Masahiro Chono, Colt Cabana, and even a young Gunther. His most notable match was a 2010 fight with One Warrior Nation (a fat guy doing Ultimate Warrior cosplay), which is the worst non-Heroes of Wrestling match I’ve ever seen. It makes Jenna Morosca vs. Sharmell look like Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels. His reign ended only with his death at age 61.
God, imagine a wrestler doing that in this day and age. An over-the-hill wrestler muscling into a promotion to try and make themselves champion. That’d just be sad. Anyways, I have zero ulterior motives for profiling Steinblock this week, none whatsoever. What’s what this?

Ah, for fuck’s sake.
