THEIR EYES WERE WATCHING THE DAY THREAD (1/8/20)

This is my first Open Thread of 2020!

Zora Neale
Hurston was born January 7, 1891 (I’m a day late this year) died January 28, 1960. She is one of my favorite authors.  She was an American novelist, short story writer, folklorist, and anthropologist associated with the Harlem Renaissance who celebrated the African American culture of the rural South.
