A+: Asexuality Thread

According to the Asexuality Visibility and Education Network, “An asexual person is a person who does not experience sexual attraction.” But it’s more complicated than that. Asexuality is a broad spectrum, and anyone who identities with or has experience on any part of it is welcome to contribute here. No one is actually forbidden from contributing (because I hate that), but keep it on topic and respectful.

Hey everybody. It’s been a minute. I meant to post last month but I kept putting it off and then it was the holidays and now here we are. I guess we need something to talk about.

What do you think of this recent filmed piece from SNL? Joan isn’t necessarily ace, but she has apparently made the decision that having a human romantic companion isn’t that important to her. Is there anything affirming about this representation, or is it just making fun of her?

As for other discussion topics, how were your holidays? I struggled a bit for a while – seeing people enjoying their families during such a kid-oriented time of year was tough – but I made it through okay. How about you?
