England are trying to close out South Africa in the 2nd Test at Cape Town. SA were down 5 wickets at tea on Day 5 with a seemingly insurmountable total to achieve.
Australia won the third and final test over New Zealand at the SCG by 279 runs. Oof.
The sequence pictured above happened in a BBL match between Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades. The always entertaining Rashid Khan was of course involved. He bowled a spinner to Beau Webster which hit his pad and bounced away. Umpire Greg Davidson raised his hand to give Webster out LBW, while Rashid turned and celebrated. What Khan didn’t see was Davidson stop and scratch his nose instead of putting up the finger. Apparently, Davidson convinced himself mid-signal that a) Webster had edged it and/or b) he had an itch he had to scratch that was more important than the call.
The U-19 World Cup in South Africa is only 10 days away from beginning.
