A new year is upon us. and we can look forward to the usual array of events and then some.  The Summer Olympics return to Tokyo at the end of July, preceded by qualifiers across the US and the world.  The Euro Cup is being shared by 12 venues to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the tournament, but the finals will be at Wembley Stadium.  The NCAA basketball championships will be in Atlanta (men) and New Orleans (women), and in two weeks New Orleans also hosts the college football championship game.  The Super Bowl returns to Miami, bringing quality football to South Beach for the first time in ages.

And this Saturday. the Houston Texans will host the late afternoon game.  Every time they have made the playoffs, the Texans are in this slot.  Some things apparently never change.
