Editor’s Note: Feel free to post as big or as small of a list as you would like below but please keep your lists contained to these posts and do not open up your own or fill up the OT with them. The winners will be announced alongside the other winners of The Pits on 12/21 and will be calculated by adding up your lists (10 points for first, 9 for second, etc. with 5 per awarded for unranked Top 10 lists). Voting will be cut off some time on 12/21 so make sure to cast your ballot before then. If you wish to change your ballot later feel free to, but please indicate clearly that you are recasting your vote to make things easier to count.Well folks, we’ve made it to the final (and in my opinion the most important) media category in the annual Pits. Even though there are a variety of types of tv shows, we’re keeping things simple again with just 2 categories: drama and comedy. Since there are plenty of shows that seem like they could fall under either title, it’s up to your discretion of how they are categorized. If you thought Russian Doll was more dramatic than comedic, then you are welcome to rank it as a drama. Votes with be tallied by assigning a numerical value to your top 10, with first place getting 10 points, second place getting 9 points, third place getting 8 points, etc. Only 10 shows in each category will be considered. If you are unable to rank yours, the first ten shows you list will be given 5 points a piece.
Voting is open til 12/20/19. Tallying will take place sometime late that evening so if you need to edit your lists (I suspect I will be doing the same as I finish up When They See Us and Watchmen) feel free to do so.
I’d love to see people discussing tv in the comments, but please remember that these lists are based on personal preferences. We don’t all have to like the same things, but we should be respectful of other peoples choices. Please don’t give anyone grief for what is on their list.
