Did you know that tonight ABC is showing The Little Mermaid Live? Well, I didn’t! Or, maybe I knew at one point, and then I forgot. Either way, this morning I learned that it’s happening tonight. So, I’ve set up the TV to record it. Not because I’m particularly interested in the musical itself—I’m only familiar with the Disney movie—but because it’s always fun to watch the latest TV musical. Even if it turns out to be a disaster, it’s usually entertaining in some way. Of course, I’m always hoping that these productions will be successful because that means more TV musicals in the future. What about you? What do you think about TV productions of musicals? Were there particular shows that you really liked? Or hated? Why? What shows would you like to see performed in the future? Does anyone plan on watching The Little Mermaid Live tonight?
