Halloween Marble Race 2019

Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! It’s time for the Marble League’s scariest annual tradition: the Halloween Race! This is an elimination race where after founds rounds of racing, the lowest-scoring marble in the overall standings is fed to the spiders. Final podium position is decided by final point tally, not results in the final round.

This is a perilous course with many terrifying obstacles. There are white-hot torches, dark haunted houses, and skeletons galore. DNFs are common. Marbles that zoom through the Gravitrax section at the top often get caught in the maze midway through. The only winning strategy is to roll for your life and keep rolling, and even that’s not a guarantee.

In the end, Blood Moon, Casper, and Zomball finish atop the podium, in that order. They, along with fourth place finisher Will-o’-Wisp, will escape the arachnid’s gaping maw.

Stray thoughts:

  • Jack-o’-Lantern only managed to get 3 measly points. What a failure.
  • The evil eye that blocked the track proves just how unpredictable this competition can be.
  • Blood Moon DNFed in the final race and still came in first in the standings. What a power move.
