Today’s Day Thread is dedicated to the pet cat of Fat Freddy Freekowtski, member of the original Hirsute Trio the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, created in 1969 by Gilbert Shelton.

Originally, mini strips featuring the orange tomcat would run above or below the regular comic, in the same way the original Krazy Kat comic was. Shelton would expand his adventures into full-length stories, so much so that there were enough for them to be collected in an omnibus in 2009.
