Hey, Kevzero here, I’m an amateur photographer based on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I mostly take wildlife photo, but have been recently taking pictures of many other things. This week: Piping Plovers. It’s hard to believe that this cute little shorebird could be so controversial, but the Piping Plover is. As a criticality endangered species, the Piping Plover nesting grounds along the beaches of Cape Cod, and elsewhere, are barricaded off through out most of the late Spring early Summer for their protection. Although there is plenty beach access for people and vehicles, a lot of, in my opinion whiny, people can get quite incensed at the bird for the closures. I think they are really great cute birds, and I love to take their pictures.
