Just got home from the Chicago meetup at the Blue Line Lounge and Grill. Great to see other Avocados in the flesh and big ups to MLA for bringing name tags. Blue Line has a bigger than average pub menu and we just had a couple apps for the table, two orders of Artichoke dip and mozzarella stuffed hush puppies. Tasty food and good for a group who’s socializing, albeit awkwardly. It got me to thinking what constitutes bar food and wondering what others think of it. Hearty and filling or light and salty? On a recent trip to New York I was introduced to deep fried pickles (I know, they’re everywhere it’s just that this is the first time I tried them) and really love them.
