Scott OT #193: The Night Thread Remembers Chris Cornell (7/20)

(cw: mentions of Suicide)

Two years ago, the world was dismayed to learn that Chris Cornell, lead singer of Soundgarden and Audioslave, had tragically taken his life. His death sent shockwaves across the music industry, as one of the most beloved singers was no longer with them. In my experience, most people start to get into Soundgarden when they were teenagers. The biggest Soundgarden fan at my high school, was some awkward dipshit that made lists when he thought the teachers weren’t looking.

The music of Soundgarden made a huge impact on me in high school. I listened to them almost every day and often sung to them when no one was listening. This may shock some of the people here but I was even more awkward in high school than I am now. After a long day of having no friends, I’d always unwind by listening to Soundgarden. He meant a lot to me and I was absolutely devastated by his passing.

Hope you all have fun posting here tonight and have a great night.
