The House of Representatives voted to find Attorney General William Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in contempt for refusing to obey subpoenas issued by the House. Despite a last minute call from both Barr and Ross’ offices, the vote went ahead anyway. With this now in place, were House Speaker Pelosi feeling frisky she could put both in jail.

(She should totally put both of them in jail)

Senator Rand Paul continues to suck on every conceivable level. Senator Paul objected to voting on the Bipartisan 9/11 Victims Relief Compensation Fund, claiming it would add to the deficit.

So, those golf trips you took with our shitbird President didn’t contribute to the deficit right asshole? Gee, it’s almost as if these deficit hawks are total liars or something.

Elsewhere the Crime President pushed The Racism Button on his futility belt at a rally in North Carolina. His crowds dutifully began chanting “Send Her Back!” referring to sitting congresswoman Ilhan Omar. It definitely feels like Trump is trying craft Omar as a bogeyman for his re-election campaign. The startling similarity to the “Lock Her Up!” refrain seems to suggest that we’ll be hearing this frequently in the future. It speaks to the darker tone of the coming election cycle. Trump is a stochastic terrorist. Things will end very badly because of how carelessly he wields racism.
