He was the former mentor of Skeletor.

Skeletor betrayed Hordak by banishing him to another dimension.

Skeletor then sought out the conquest of Eternia once Hordak was vanquished.

Hordak appears in the new She-Ra: Princess of Power cartoon on Netflix.

This new version of Hordak kinda reminds me of Morbius the Living Vampire!
