One of the greatest heels in the WWF of the 1980s, Ted DiBiase bought the WWF championship from Andre the Giant.

WWF President Jack Tunney could not allow this to happen and immediately vacated the championship.

A tournament was held at WrestleMania IV to determine the undisputed WWF Champion.

The final match of the tournament featured Million Dollar Man vs. ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage.

Randy Savage would ultimately defeat Ted DiBiase and become WWF Championship, thanks to timely interference from Hulk Hogan.

Million Dollar Man would introduce the Million Dollar Belt to the WWF sometime later.
