It’s been a quiet year so far.
The top movie of 2019 domestically according to Box Office Mojo is Glass, the Unbreakable sequel set in the M. Night-verse. January and February have typically been very quiet, though the latter hasn’t been true for the last few years. 2018 saw Black Panther; 2017 was bolstered by Get Out and the LEGO Batman Movie; 2016 had a surprise hit in Deadpool.
Things are about to shake-up, though, with the year’s first blockbuster, Captain Marvel, arriving in theaters this Thursday. After that, it’s superheroes all the way down.
March is also Women’s History Month. Which, along with the movie coming out later this week, is the inspiration for today’s prompt: BEST PERFORMANCE BY A WOMAN IN AN ACTION ROLE.
Is it Uma Thurman in Kill Bill?
Michelle Yeoh in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon?
Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman?
Sigourney Weaver in Aliens?
