Everyone missed FJ, with Team Buzzy suffering the most damage as they wagered everything. The other teams bet over half their scores, with Team Colby dropping $12,000 to $7,600 and Team Austin down $10,400 to $5,200, so it’s still wide open going into game two.

Triple Stumpers of the day: The team captains never heard of the idiom “mad as” this moistened fowl, “a wet hen” (a description that does not apply to Colby), and couldn’t come up with the founder of the New York City Ballet, George Balanchine.
