Snowpocalypse Now- Favorite Cold Weather Centric Films

Old Man Winter has an icy stranglehold on much of the country.

Last week, the Northeast was hit by the polar vortex with snow, ice, and negative degree wind chills.

The first sign of Spring is next week when pitchers and catchers report to Florida for MLB Spring Training (Sorry Phil, your prognosticating can be unreliable some years).

In the span of a few weeks Arctic and Cold Pursuit have hit movie screens.

These new releases made me want to ask – what cold weather centric films are your favorite?

For me, it’s Snowpiercer.  Directed by Bong Joon-ho, scientists tried to stop the threat of global warming and unwittingly caused another Ice Age.

The last remnants of humanity live aboard a train that makes its way through the ice and snow.

Instead of building a snowman, tell me your favorite movie in the comments section.
