I saw that there was an open slot for tonight’s Night Thread so I signed up to give some love to the Reign of the Supermen storyline appearing in Superman comics during the early 1990s.

After Superman died tragically fighting the monster powerhouse Doomsday, 4 men stepped forward to fill the void left by the Man of Steel.

The Man of Steel, Cyborg Superman, a young Superman (just don’t call him SuperBOY), and the Eradicator.

Did Superman cheat death and come back to fight for truth, justice, and the American way?

Who was the real deal and which one of these heroes was an impostor?

The Death of Superman storyline was recently adapted as a DC Animated Movie.

Part II of the Death of Superman Saga was released this week with DCAU’s  Reign of the Supermen.

I picked up the DVD/BluRay combo this week and I’ll probably watch it at some point this weekend.
