November is upon us and depending on where you are it might even be feeling like fall. Soups and stews are good any time of the year but the fall weather really gets me in the mood for a hot bowl of soup. I haven’t had soup from a can in ages, still use the cream of mushroom as an ingredient in the Thanksgiving casserole though. I’ve recently made this cream of asparagus soup that didn’t last long so I think next up will be either potato soup or sambar. 50% of the household is vegetarian so most of the dishes we make are meatless, I will likely make a pot of chili and freeze single serving portions for myself for the times when I really crave some meat.
