Parental Guidance / Dark Sarcasm in the Classroom: Teaching Touching and Consent

Welcome to the first “Parent / Teacher Conference,” I guess.  I’m posting a Dark Sarcasm in the Classroom / Parental Guidance thread to discuss teaching kids about touching and consent.

OBVIOUSLY, the Kavanaugh hearing is the inspiration for this.  How do you teach this sort of thing to your children/ students? Are there good and bad ways to do so? What have you taken away from this….event…that will influence your future teaching and / or parenting?

I personally have and teach young children- there’s a natural curiosity to explore and touch and wonder about  bodies and  tons of equally good ways for adults to deal with it all.

What are you all thinking?
