Happy 50th birthday to the very dapper Paul F. Tompkins! Paul is a character comedian and improviser who has livened up your favorite podcasts for over a decade. His most famous onscreen work includes writing/performing on Mr. Show, hosting the puppet-themed news show No, You Shut Up!, starring as Dean Rosedragon on Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, and voicing Mr. Peanutbutter on BoJack Horseman.

I was introduced to PFT through the Comedy Bang Bang podcast, where he is well-known for being the most frequent guest on the show, playing characters such as the Cake Boss, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Garry Marshall, Alan Thicke, Big Chunky Bubbles (a guy who blows bubbles out of soups and stews for children’s parties), and The Smooth Criminal (who faked hairlessness to get out of a long-term relationship).

PFT also hosts his own podcast, Spontaneanation, and appeared on the Comedy Bang Bang TV show, bringing his improvised characters to the screen. Whatever he’s working on now (because he’s always working on a lot), I wish him a happy birthday, and I pray that you do.
