New Friday Music 8/10: Mr. Plow is a… Band?

Apparently a band called ‘Mr. Plow’ is releasing something this week. The only Mr. Plow song I need, though is the one above. And the Spanish version.

I don’t know anyone on this list (edited from Consequence of Sound’s August Releases), but I did want to highlight a release that I’ve been anticipating for a couple months: Odetta Hartman’s Old Rockhounds Never DieHartman had released a promising debut EP called 222 back in 2015, so, I suppose I was anticipating this for a few years. Nevertheless it was announced with what is still probably the best song on the album, “Misery” which goes through a lot of weird techniques before ending:

Other than that jazz flutist, composer, and general afrofuturist Nicole Mitchell released a new album called maroon cloud, I haven’t listened to the whole thing, but I’m sure it’s interesting
