Jeopardy! recap for Wed.., Jul. 11 – Here are today’s contestants:
– Stel, a project manager from New York, comes from a Greek area of long-lived people;
– George, a writer and musician from Arkansas, likes to knit but can’t make it fit; and
– Wes, a stand-up comedian and storyteller from Massachusetts, looked like a credit card company mascot. Wes is a two-day champ with winnings of $26,795.
Wes had his most impressive game yet, finishing strongly to enter FJ with $21,400, but the game wasn’t over as George and Stel stayed alive with $12,200 and $11,200 respectively.

DD3 – BLACK WOMEN AUTHORS – This British author of “White Teeth” also wrote “Swing Time”, a story of 2 childhood friends who dream of being dancers (Wes won $2,000)
FJ – FROM BOOKS TO BROADWAY – “Son of a Witch” & “A Lion Among Men” are sequels to the book that inspired this musical
Wes and Stel were correct on FJ, with Wes picking up $3,001 to win with $24,401 for a three-day total of $51,196.
Triple Stumpers of the day: The players didn’t know the “little” nursery rhyme characters with soiled mittens are the Three Little Kittens. Also, everyone forgot the female Secretary of State confirmed in 2005, Condoleezza Rice.
