Jeopardy! recap for Fri., Jun. 15 – Introducing today’s contestants:

– Jon, a bartender from California, who did a lip-sync to “I Lost on Jeopardy!” in a fifth-grade talent show;
– Deirdre, and attorney and editor from Washington state, whose dad was in the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions back in 1968; and
– Diana, a legal records assistant from Massachusetts, who runs an online Boston food group. Diana is a two-day champ with winnings of $44,601.

Deirdre forged to the front by running a TV category in DJ, after which Diana dropped to below half of Deirdre’s score by missing DD3. But Diana bounced back late to stay in the game with $11,600 vs. $19,800 for Deirdre and $5,600 for Jon.

DD1 – INVENTIONS – In 1950 Zenith introduced one of these gadgets; it was called “Lazy Bones” (Diana won $500)

Surprisingly, everyone missed FJ for the second straight game and Deirdre had enough of a lead to hold on with $16,399 after losing her wager of $3,401.

Triple Stumper of the day: If the players had been fans of the Beatles movie “Help!”, they should have known that Elias Howe patented the sewing machine.
