Though Disney took a while to get the marketing campaign for Solo: A Star Wars Story going, the promotion for the movie is now in full Force (sorry), and will continue tonight with a full trailer. The new preview will premiere during American Idol on ABC this evening, and will drop online immediately afterwards.
This continues what has been a flood of news for the anticipated release as of late, including that the movie will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, which would suggest that Disney has full confidence in it now following a reported flood of production problems which may or may not have been blown out of proportion. Early buzz says that Ron Howard has delivered after The Lego Movie’s Phil Lord and Chris Miller were thrown into a trash compactor, and the good stories don’t stop there, as Solo is also tracking for what would be a record-breaking $150 million+ debut over the Memorial Day weekend this summer.
Also, you can get these cool cups at Denny’s now…
Solo: A Star Wars Story opens everywhere May 25th, by which time you’ll have seen Avengers: Infinity War at least twice.
