A weird cold open (seemed like part of a longer bit or an outtake) and a laggy middle couldn’t sink some great jokes. Roger being accepted as a puppet didn’t really make any sense to me and took me out of the story for a bit, and ‘the murders’ weren’t very exciting either. Roger doesn’t need toxic paint as an excuse to kill! Roger wears his friends’ skin for fun!

I did not need to see Roger’s puppet expression as Principal Lewis shoved his un-lubricated arm up what I can only assume to be a cavernous anal cavity, but, well, here we are.

Despite all that the coda was perfect and the bit with Roger in the air vents had me in stitches. I also loved Principal Lewis’ assistant in the cold open- he was great.
