2017…it’s finally over. It was, to put it lightly, kinda rough, politically. The American President has made his country an international laughingstock just by being himself. I don’t know how much more I even need to bring up — we were all there, right?

But we the people can turn it around. As a direct result of the last shit-stain of a year, more of us have become politically involved, running for office or volunteering, and we’ve already seen some of those results. It seems like a long way off, but those midterms will be here before you know it, and there will be lots of smaller elections along the way. I must allow myself to hope, and to believe that there’s a light at the end of this trash heap.

We just have to get through the trash heap, somehow.
