Second only to Charles Chaplin, Buster Keaton was one of the greatest comedic stars of the the silent era. He had a natural gift for physical comedy and excelled at stunts like the one from Steamboat Bill Jr. shown above. His best film is easily The General, a film about a man trying to reclaim his stolen train from Union spies during the Civil War.
