Now that I have your attention: it’s not that much drama. Not usually, anyway. However, we did have a user delete their WordPress account, which appears to have deleted the only Dubtrack-related post here on the new Avocado, so this is an attempt to replace that, and recapture suggestions from that lost post for a new schedule, to be implemented January 2018.
If you haven’t used it yet, Dubtrack is a social DJ site, using YouTube and Soundcloud as its library. Users queue tracks, and the room plays those tracks, round-robin. There’s also a chat, and a PM function.
If you’ve used Rabbit, it’s a similar concept, except more streamlined and limited in its function (it has no video or voice chat), and tailored more specifically to music than video (though obviously if YouTube has the video, it can be viewed).
Essentially, if the Avocado is the bar we all hang out at, Dubtrack is the jukebox we can all be pumping quarters into.
And a bar with a good jukebox, is a good bar.
There are currently two Avocado Rooms: the main one, which carries a schedule of musical “themes” or “shows”, and the Annex, which is 24/7 free-play, whatever you like within bounds of etiquette (more on that below).
CURRENT SCHEDULE (All Times US Eastern – this same schedule is also posted on the “INFO” tab of the room itself):
(NOTE: If it’s ten minutes past a scheduled start time and no one has arrived for that show, that show block goes free-play. So set yourself a reminder for your shows, and speak up for them when you arrive!)

ETIQUETTE/RULES OF PLAY
The rooms are Private, with a password. This means that we restrict access to anyone who’s either an Avocado, or has an Avocado vouch for them and give them the password. We did this after we got tired of dealing with random drive-by trolls.
Basically, act like you would here at the Avocado.
This is a party. Don’t be a jerk. Don’t be a troll. Don’t be a racist, sexist, or other-ist. Some good-natured ribbing is fine, but don’t rag on others’ tastes in music. If the room is full, don’t queue really long tracks that mean that no one else’s pick is coming up for a long time – a good rule of thumb, is probably max your picks out at six or maybe eight minutes at most, unless you are in a show that explicitly favors long pieces (ex. prog, classical, electronic dance), or the other people in the room are OK with it (just ask!)

You will need to set up a Dubtrack account (can be done with an e-mail address, or social media logins) and the password.
If you are interested, ask me or one of the other Dubtrackers, and we will get you that password, often by leaving it on an old comment of yours then deleting it when done (again, we are trying to discourage random drive-by trolls from getting it).
LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
Now, by default I have a reputation as “The Dubtrack Guy”, because I have the ability to post the schedule. But I need to stress that I am NOT THE BOSS OF IT. This is a collective Avocado space and effort, and the more people participate, the better it works and the more fun it is. Plus, I have at least two jobs already, and this cannot become a third one for me.
So, if you have ideas for what to do in these spaces (new shows, etc.), or other suggestions and things you’d like to see happen, BE THE CHANGE.
Use the comments to provide feedback, solicit feedback, ask questions, etc.
