Movies: Somewhere, our limbs lost in the distance.

Hey there!

As a sort of trial run post for me, I thought I’d shine a light onto one of my favorite short films of the past few years. It’s about an astronaut, or at least most of an astronaut. Pretty SFW, runs about 7 minutes, great animation style and use of colors. It was directed by Nicolas Ménard, a student at the Royal College of Art in London. Plus, it’s got a beautiful warbly soundtrack by Disasterpeace, who you may remember as the composer of It Follows and/or FEZ. If you have a few minutes, check it out!

Thoughts? Comments? I love the color palette and the synchronization of the soundtrack to what happens on screen (e.g. the little stars twinkling alongside the melody). It’s just a gorgeous piece of artwork and I find myself watching it every other month or so.
