Hey folks! Welcome to the first AVoCADo GamesCast-ing call of the new site! We’re going to record the next episode of the GamesCast next weekend, on the 11th or 12th of November, and we’d love for you to participate. For this episode, we’re going to be doing something special: we’ll be discussing the depiction of video games in other media – books, movies, TV, even the news! That means we’re not just looking for dedicated gamers this time around. If this sounds like a topic that interests you, then we’d love to have you.
If you want to participate, please provide:
- Your Skype handle*, if I don’t already have it. (I’m spanky.merve.)
- What times/days you’re available next weekend**
As always, the GamesCast welcomes participants from diverse backgrounds. Regardless of your age, gender, sexual orientation, or ethnic background, if you have something to say, we’d love to have you.
Recording will take between 90 and 135 minutes. All you need is a good-quality mic (the mic on a mid-range headset is fine) and a willingness to chat. As usual, I like to have a mixture of newbies and veterans, so if you’re new to podcasting, don’t be shy about signing up.
