The team stood in darkness. Occasionally a few whispers could be heard. Someone thought they heard a sob or two.
After a few minutes, there was a loud metallic clang. The members of the Strike team collectively cringed, knowing what this meant.
More minutes passed, and finally some of the lights in the car turned on. It revealed that this was a passenger car. A few passengers were huddling in the front of the car. Seeing the strike team only intensified their fear.
Taylor went up to them, hands open to show they were unarmed, “We’re not here to hurt you. We just barely survived the mech attack. We’re here to help.”
One of them pointed, aghast and mute with fear. Following her gaze, Taylor saw the corpse of Zenon Kar.
“Oh trox,” said Doctor Roombina, “I’ll send her memories to the Plague Doc.” She plugged her commlink into Zenon’s fracture spine.
Two minutes later, Selina came on the radio. “She was true Resistance. She wasn’t lying about the medigel/omnigel/sour cream gun either. What a weird kid.”
LindsayFunke/Zenon Kar is dead. She was a Meditech [Town Doctor].
A cold wind from the open back of the car bit into the team as they looked at each other, suspicious of who would be willing to kill a kid like Zenon. The two civilians could do nothing but cower in fear, finding no place to escape these terrifying agents.

**Vindictive Killer was hunting a specific player. Their mark was killed before they killed them, they have become a standard Serial Killer.
