It is early winter, 1295, in the mountains of northwestern Italy, and the residents of Sacra di San Avocado are preparing for the arrival of a delegation from Rome. Murmurs of heresy at the abbey have drawn the attention of the inquisitors.
But the inquisition may have to wait. The abbot was not at the morning prayers today, and only a gruesome smear of blood was found in his chambers, trailing down the hall and out to the courtyard, the trail being abruptly obscured by last night’s snowfall.
Is this the work of the heretics? A bit of bad stew? Has the abbot’s old age finally taken its toll? Only one way to know for sure: wild accusations and ritual executions.
Welcome to Werewolves XXIII: The Name of the Avocado. In brief, the game is split into two teams: town and scum, with some special roles sprinkled in. Town must root out and kill scum, while scum picks off town one by one.
Please let me know if you are interested in playing. Assuming we have sufficient interest, this will be a sizeable game, but don’t be discouraged if the list is full; we almost always need one or two (or four) backups. The game is expected to start Monday.
Experienced players are always welcome, but newbies are encouraged to try it out. You’ll be surprised how quickly you pick up on the game.
In this game, roleplay will be strongly encouraged, but I don’t have it in me to enforce it. Think about a character you’d like to play, or don’t. Whatever.
